Since I first worked at this magic venue, I always want to go back. This hotel is a constant inspiration for my wedding photography. My last visit to ballyfin demesne was in every way, special. Covid hit Ireland and a few days after my visit Ballyfin Demesne closed. No photo will show the real atmosphere of this iconic Manor hotel in Ireland. I first heard about Ballyfin Demesne when it opened nearly 10 years ago. The next year I had a meeting with one of my couples in the gold room to discuss their wedding plans. With all the little details and the exceptional, personal service, this place just blew me away. Since then, I have worked a few times as a photographer at Ballyfin and for me this is the top wedding venue in Ireland. This intimate country house hotel has everything for a smaller wedding in Ireland– A top experience for couples looking for the best of the best wedding venues in Ireland or even in the world.

From the moment you arrive at the gated entrance, you know this is a special place with 100 % privacy. After the gates open you drive for a while on a small road through the Irish Countryside, passing an ancient church, woodlands, and ponds.

Finally, you turn a bend and you see the hotel in the distance at the lake. It’s like a movie scene, which becomes even more special with the hotel staff waiting for you at the stairs greeting you with a warm Irish Welcome. It feels like a meeting with friends that will welcome your arrival with a glass of champagne.

During my visit to Ballyfin demesne I Imagined spending my morning relaxing in the gold room, decorated in an elegant French style, or reading a book on history in the warm library. Allowing myself to slow down, drinking a cup of coffee, and let all the details of the stunning hotel sink in.

The staff at Ballyfin will treat you with incredible kindness and hospitality. They are extremely professional and passionate about what they are doing, without pretentious. You are treated like friends and no request is too much to ask. Ballyfin is a showcase of the best hotel Ireland has to offer.
